Increasing Hikers, Campers, Hunters and Prep minded people want to be able to run or charge all their electrical gadgets off AA or AAA batteries. There is a very practical reason for doing so.

This External Source Charger Pack has been adapted to allow the AUSCB Li-ion Battery to be charged from the Charging Dock, when a 240V or 12V source isn’t available.

Uses either 8 x AA Rechargeable Batteries (1.2V typically), or 8 x AA Disposables Batteries (1.5V typically).

On/Off switch at side.

Rubber Foot Pads.

12V Car Socket Fitting.

This is actually a more effective method than trying to run a handheld of AA batteries directly, as they simply wont last as long that way – it all has to do with voltages and discharge rates.

To be used in conjunction with the AUSCB 12V Car Adaptor, as this has it’s own stepdown voltage regulator, which is required due to the different voltages and discharge rates of different battery types.

Please note – that AA batteries described as ‘for general use’, are not suitable and will only result in a partial charge. It is recommend that AA batteries described as suitable for digital items be used. A minimum recommendation for disposable batteries would be Energizer Max, Duracell Copper Tops or equivalent. It is recommended that rechargeable batteries have a rating of 2300mHa (2000mHa for Duracell) or better.
